In the wake of the pandemic, both educators and students alike have faced difficulties adapting to the new challenges presented by our modern world. Mental health, a longstanding concern in education, has gained even more salience in current discussions as a result. Educators continue to search for a proactive approach to mental health and are increasingly implementing preventative strategies to address the well-being of students.

A study conducted by the CDC, revealed that more than 4 in 10 (42%) students felt consistently sad or hopeless and almost one-third (29%) experienced poor mental health.

Explore SXSW EDU 2024 sessions that dive into solutions for mental health challenges in education and beyond, the influence of learning environments on students' wellbeing, and strategies to empower students and educators in navigating their mental health, both within the classroom and the broader world.
