About Performances

Performances at SXSW EDU are a unique element of the festival programming. SXSW EDU has featured spoken word, staged readings, and student musical showcases. Performances offer attendees an experience that is both entertaining and educational.

Following each of the performances, the performers and their associated organizations will lead the audience through a workshop-style experience offering a deeper understanding of the concepts that fueled the performance and in many cases, activities that can be adopted for the classroom.
