Celebrating International Women’s Day at SXSW EDU 2020

Over the past few years, we’ve had the pleasure of celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8 at SXSW with our community and partners to champion the achievement of women and advocate for gender equality. This year we’re excited to announce a special evening celebrating International Women’s Day on Sunday, March 8 to kick off the 10th annual SXSW EDU Conference & Festival.

Here at SXSW EDU, we’ve long sought to champion our community in and out of the classroom as they make strides in gender equality and female empowerment, through thought-provoking programming and dynamic experiences at the event. We’re thrilled to be able to join the worldwide event on March 8 and highlight this year’s theme of #EachforEqual. Through the lens of education, we’ll explore gender equity in edtech and entrepreneurship as well as in the workplace, professional development and mentorship, SEL for self-care, and the celebration of female empowerment and innovation.

As you make your plans for SXSW EDU 2020, we hope you’ll join us on Sunday, March 8 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. You’ll hear from groundbreaking and innovative voices sharing their work and journeys, and network with other attendees in a learning and celebratory event to kick off SXSW EDU.

Stay tuned as speakers and more details are announced in the coming months, and make plans to attend SXSW EDU today, for our most special year yet.

We hope to see you there!
