U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos will speak on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 5:00pm-6:00pm (Austin Convention Center, Room 18ABC) as part of the SXSW EDU Policy Forum. This session is open to 2018 SXSW EDU registrants only. Secretary DeVos will host a Rethink Higher Education panel at the SXSW EDU Conference & Festival. She will provide opening remarks and moderate a panel discussion on the need for higher education to embrace innovation and creative thinking in preparing students for success in the 21st century.
Secretary DeVos will be joined by panelists Anant Agarwal, CEO of edX, Ben Wallerstein, CEO & Co-Founder of Whiteboard Advisors, and David Clayton, Senior Vice President, Consumer Insights at Strada Education Network.
