2023 Event Information

 

The SXSW EDU Conference & Festival, March 6-9, 2023, takes place in Austin, Texas at the Austin Convention Center (500 E Cesar Chavez, Austin, TX 78701) and the Hilton Austin Downtown (500 E 4th St., Austin, TX 78701) with additional events scheduled at walkable venues.

Getting Around

 

Located in the heart of Texas, Austin is easily accessible by highway from Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and other major cities.

For international and domestic air travel, the Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) offers flights daily. Transportation is available to and from the airport by taxi, charter, and public transportation.

Getting Around Downtown Austin

Once you arrive for SXSW EDU, you can easily walk to and from each of the programming venues. The Austin Convention Center and the Hilton Austin Downtown are just blocks from most SXSW EDU hotels and the vibrant 6th and Rainey Street districts.

Airport Transportation

SuperShuttle Austin is the preferred airport transportation service for SXSW EDU 2023. They offer a stellar shared-ride service with convenience, price transparency, and affordability for rides to and from the airport and around town. B-cycle

When you’re ready to give your feet a break, check out B-cycle, Austin’s bike-share system. Bike-share stations are conveniently placed throughout downtown near all the places you want to be. Austin B-cycle is another fast, easy way to get around during SXSW EDU, day or night. Day access passes are available at each B-station; all you need is a credit card! Pedicabs

Pedicabs operate throughout Austin day and night, mostly in the Central Business District, Rainey St, and East 6th St areas. Pedicab drivers are licensed and regulated by the City of Austin Ground Transportation Department and usually work for tips or a charge-per-block fare. Look for pedicab staging areas around downtown, or just flag one down.

Parking

Area parking ranges in price and availability. Arriving into the downtown area early is the best bet for securing parking. Parking locations and availability can be found on the City of Austin’s website.
