How to teach session at SXSW EDU 2018.

SXSW EDU 2019 is a few weeks away. Much of the programming for the event has been announced and it’s time to start making plans for the event.

With this in mind, we asked several attendees to share their perspective, goals for SXSW EDU this year, and how they are thinking about their schedule March 4-7, 2019.

  • Passionate about operations, leadership, and organizational management as a way to amplify, build and connect powerful learning experiences for all.
  • I am looking forward to attending the conference with a learning posture rather than a speaker this year, so my goal is to attend a variety of sessions and set up meetings with people I haven’t met to explore overlaps in our work.
  • I’ll be attending sessions that push my thinking on topics related to the Future of Work, data, connected learning, and student agency as well as joining networking events!

  • My goal at the upcoming SXSW EDU Conference and Festival is to attend sessions that celebrate student voice, diverse populations, and personalized and blended learning to meet the instructional and equitable needs of students.

  • My schedule is fluid and will change based on what happens in my classroom as we get closer to SXSW EDU.

  • Every year I come to SXSW EDU to reconnect with people and projects as well as make connections to new people and ideas that push my thinking and broaden my view.
  • I always start with a “wish list” of sessions I hope to attend or people I hope to connect with if the sessions overlap. This year my schedule really reflects a focus on equity, student voice, and community connections.

  • My goals for SXSW EDU 2019 are to connect with a variety of industry experts in hopes to push equity in education, personalized learning models, and data interoperability.
  • My schedule consists of sessions centered on rethinking education in terms of student agency, social justice, data privacy, and much more.

  • I’m always trying to get as much information as quickly as possible on topics that allow me to explore new points of view and challenge my current perspective. So you’ll find me at lots of Future 20s, taking advantage of opportunities to meet new people, reflecting on where we are as an industry, and developing an informed opinion on where I think we need to go.
  • My schedule is a blend of future-casting, trend-focused sessions, and deep dives into strategies for building leadership capacity in teams and programs.
